Background

A group of 15 travelers from Portugal asked miit to arrange a private tour of seven destinations in Japan: Tokyo, Hakone, Kanazawa, Shirakawa-go, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Osaka. The group set two firm dining conditions: no raw food at any meal, and wine served every day. Because members had different interests, from shopping and sightseeing to relaxing in cafes, the trip needed a structure that did not push everyone through the same packed schedule.

Portuguese-Guided Kyoto

Portuguese-speaking guide led the group through Kyoto, so all 15 travelers could follow explanations of temples, streets and local history in their own language.

Tailored Daily Dining

miit selected local restaurants for lunches and dinners that served no raw dishes and offered wine with every day's meals, as the group requested.

Choose-Your-Own Days

Instead of a packed schedule, each day offered free time or an optional guided tour, so members could shop, sightsee or relax in cafes as they preferred.

Our Contribution

miit's Role

miit planned the route from Tokyo through Hakone, Kanazawa, Shirakawa-go, Kyoto and Hiroshima to Osaka, booking hotels and chartered vehicles thanks to cooperation with a travel company. The team arranged a Portuguese-speaking guide for Kyoto and consulted local restaurants in advance to confirm menus without raw food and with daily wine service. miit built each day around optional guided tours and free time, and staff from its Tokyo and Osaka offices supported the group across eastern and western Japan.

Results

The 15 travelers from Portugal completed a seven-destination route from Tokyo to Osaka with hotels, chartered transport and meals arranged in advance. Lunches and dinners met the group's no-raw-food requirement and included wine each day. The optional guided-tour format let members spend each day differently, whether shopping, visiting sights or resting in cafes, while staying on one shared itinerary. Support from miit's Tokyo and Osaka teams covered the group throughout the trip.
